International Day of the Arts

The Beauty of Natural Laws & the Healing Power of Art
As we move through the Winter Solstice — the longest night of the year — join us for an evening of creativity, reflection, and connection.
We’ll begin with a short interactive talk exploring darkness and light: in nature, in ancient cultures, and in our everyday lives. What can this seasonal shift teach us about balance, renewal, and the human experience?
The main part of the evening will be a hands-on creative workshop where we’ll make our own Dodecahedron Star Lanterns — beautiful geometric lanterns inspired by nature’s harmony and the power of light.
No artistic experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to create.
As we build our lanterns together, we’ll reflect on the light each person carries within and the importance of protecting and nurturing it.
“To acknowledge the light that shines forth from each of us. This light needs to be protected, just as the lights inside our lanterns are, so they do not blow out.”
