As part of the International Organisation New Acropolis initiative to actively participate in the celebration of International Earth Day, we raised awareness about sustainability in a stool at the South Melbourne Market. We taught the Market visitors how to upcycle old T-shirts into lovely shopping bags and transform used toilet paper rolls into seedling pots throughout the day. The volunteers shared tips for simple, straightforward paths to live a sustainable, eco-friendly way of life.
It was exciting meeting so many like-hearted people interested in this pressing issue, asking questions and appreciating the idea of creating a change through a joint daily effort.
Keep up the excellent work; together, we are better!
The Living Philosophy course is an introduction and foundation towards living life with meaning and awareness. It brings together the thoughts of the most prominent philosophers of the East and West, especially those who left deep marks on humanity. This comparative study of philosophies does not belong to a single thinker or any particular school but is a universal human heritage. It is more than just another course; it is an opportunity to promote philosophy as a way of life and engage deeply with ideas, practice together, and develop skills in a supportive community.
